Cognitive Driving Screen
The Going Places Cognitive Driving Screen (CoDriS) evaluates various cognitive domains and integrates baseline driving knowledge, to gauge an individual’s cognitive capacity to drive in left-hand traffic conditions.
It serves as a screening tool that can be used to asses individuals, when there are concerns about their cognitive ability to handle the demands of driving. Additionally, it can be used as part of a pre-employment screen, to assess driving knowledge and cognitive competency.
The online assessment requires minimal computer literacy skills and can be completed independently. However, test administration assistance can be provided if necessary.
Scores are automatically recorded and upon completion a scoresheet is generated. A Driving Fitness and Community Mobility score is calculated and categorizes into a low, medium or high risk profile. Additionally, an Insight score is calculated.
Given the intricate nature of cognitive impairment and the complexities of driving, the outcome of the CoDriS should be considered as a guideline. Should there be further concerns about the individual’s driving ability a Fitness-to-Drive Assessment or Pre-Employment Screen is recommended.
Desktop and tablet compatible.
